DR CONRAD VINE
Born into a pastoral family, Conrad grew up with his twin brother and two sisters in homes across the UK.
After graduating with a business management degree, he served in the UK public healthcare system before God led him to ADRA, where he served in a variety of roles worldwide.
Conrad and Luda were married in December 1999 and regard their marriage as a personal blessing from a loving Heavenly Father.
They have two children, David (18) and Christina. (15)
Following seminary training at Newbold College he and Luda began their pastoral ministry in London, thereafter they served in Minnesota before he answered the call to serve as the President of Adventist Frontier Missions in 2011.
DR RICARDO PALACIOS
Ricardo has served God in ministry for the past 23 years in various capacities, including: district pastor and department leader in the Southern Ecuadorian Mission and the Ecuadorian Union, president of the Northern Ecuadorian Union, pastor and church planter for the Texas Conference, and as church planting team leader among Buddhists of North eastern Thailand.
He is currently serving as the Ministry Initiatives Director and Africa Field Director for Adventist Frontier Missions.
His educational background includes a Doctor of Ministry in Church Growth and Evangelism and an M.Div from Andrews University, preceded by a B.A. in Religion from Weimar College.
Dr. Palacios is blessed to share God’s calling to missions with his wife, Alicia, and their two teenaged sons, Gabriel and Daniel.
He considers himself privileged to be part of the church to which God has entrusted the mission of “preparing a people to meet their God.”
While working for a large bank in New York City, John‘s life was transformed and lifted from the confusion of drugs, alcohol and demon possession into the freedom and joy of a life in Christ.
In response to the love of Jesus, he left the bank to serve as an urban evangelist for the E-Van-Gelism Ministries in New York.
There, he and Beth met and were married. Shortly thereafter, they accepted an AFM call to India where they served as church-planting missionaries and later as Bible instructors for the General Conference.
Their two daughters, Hannah and Sarah, were born in India.
For the past several years John has served in different leadership positions at AFM. John shares the love of God and His call to missions across the United States at churches, schools, conventions, camp-meetings and in various media outlets.
John focuses his attention on Human Resources, helping AFM to reach its goal of hiring knowledgeable staff and running the day-to-day operations of HR.
His other responsibilities include working student missionaries in mobilizing them for short term and student mission service. He also assists Development with major donors and large events.
Laurence was born in Pietermaritsburg, South Africa. After he completed grade 7 at the little 15 student church school there, he moved with his family to Helderberg College where he finished High School and the first year and a half of theology. Sensing a strong calling to ministry and missions he went to the United States and studied at Weimar College in California.
Laurence took a year out of college to teach high school students at Palau Mission Academy in Micronesia. After graduating from Weimar he was asked to be a Youth Pastor at the Roseville SDA church in Sacramento, California.
A few mission trips later he met and proposed to his soon-to-be wife Lois Lello (also born in SA). They have two kids, Ruth (21) and Jonothan (19).
After his marriage to Lois, they moved to Andrews University, where Laurence enrolled in the Masters of Divinity program. While completing it, he accepted a call to be an associate Pastor at Pioneer Memorial Church as a chaplain for Andrews University.
Six years later Laurence was hired by Adventist Frontier Missions where currently he is working as the Training Director. He is an enthusiastic visionary. He has helped many with conflict management and other interpersonal challenges. Discipleship is his core passion. Laurence Burn is responsible for the training and development of all missionaries prior to launching and continuing development of missionaries in the field. He also serves as a church-planting consultant.
LR TINUS DE NYSSCHEN
Tinus & Elize het grootgeword in Orkney. Hul het egter eers na skool regtig bevriend geraak en is getroud. Hy het ‘n paar draaie geloop en by plekke gewerk.
Nadat hy sy opleiding as loodgieter voltooi het, het hy vir 5 jaar het hy sy eie besigheid gehad.
Hy en Elize het lank die behoefte gehad om voltyds vir die Here te werk, moontlik in die sendingveld, en uiteindelik het Tinus by Helderberg Kollege aansoek gedoen en daar teologie gestudeer.
Tinus is amper 8 jaar in die bediening en voel solank die Here hom kan gebruik is hy dankbaar daarvoor.
Tans is sy distrik nou Filadelfia, Hartbeespoort gemeente, en Magnoliahaven.
Tinus en Elize, wat werk as apteker, het twee seuns, Elmar (13) en Henco (9). Die kinders is kranige sportmanne en leef ook hulle getuienis daar uit.
LR JACO JORDAAN
Jaco is gebore in ‘n kolporteer en later predikants / evangelis se huis. Hy en sy ouer sussie het grootgeword met doelgerigte ouers wat die Here gedien het. Mense ken Jaco as Lr. Louis Jordaan se seun.
Na sy skoolloopbaan het hy vir n jaar by Abundant Life aangesluit. Daarna het hy sy BSc graad in Rekenaarswetenskappe (Tukkies 2002) voltooi en sy beroep vir twaalf jaar gevolg.
In 2008 trou hy met Suné (onderwyseres) wat hy as ‘n groot seëning van God beskou. Hulle het drie kinders: Lourich, Simoné en Linke.
Hy het God se roeping ervaar waarna hy oortuig was om vir ‘n predikant by Helderberg te gaan studeer.
Na Jaco vir die tweede keer ‘n vier jaar siklus voltooi het by Helderberg (die eerste keer was saam met sy ouers) begin hy sy pastorale werk in die Noordelike konferensie. Tans bedien hy die Warmbad, Thabazimbi, Ellisras distrik.
LR AJ DEVILLIERS
AJ is married to Eunice De Villiers, and both have a great passion for ministry.
Both of them have studied theology and have dedicated themselves to reaching each person God sends on their path.
AJ is passionate about working with children and young people. He has a ministry called Legostration which develops children stories by using lego blocks and mini figures. The greatest aspect that AJ is focused on is making the word of God practical to every person.
AJ attended Abundant Life in 2005, studied one year civil engineering at Stellenbosch, then studied 4 years theology at Helderberg, then again joined Abundant life for 2.5 years as facilitator after his studies,
He completed his post graduate studies in Youth ministry at Stellenbosch and is currently a hobbyist bee keeper with his wife who also loves working in nature and with people as a fitness coach. He loves the outdoors and loves to spend time in the cold Cape sea surfing.
Jesus is the focus for both Eunice and AJ. The Bible and the Bible alone, made practical.
